My mother A / C broke. The Contractor shall offer him a York, Rheem, Carrier or A / C. I want to find reliability ratings.

Frankly this is not really important! They * all * the work of the same and are built almost the same. What matters is the master! Proper installation is the most important. Contact your local BBB for more details on its contractor. So for something as important as new A / C. I highly recommend getting a second (or third) offer! I had problems with Trane many years behind the first two guys who wanted to replace the third replaced a valve unit and $ 5 went well until a fire destroyed the Independent house etc. (a candle exploded!).
