Boiler Problems

Boiler ProblemsBoiler problems ...?

Our combi boiler (a Sim) becomes very noisy and closer, a clip has come off the engine attached to the extractor to vibrate against the extractor itself.

We got a new clip and fitted, however, the engine now seems to be getting hot and cut after a certain time. It now reduces after half an hour. My husband tried to loosen the clip, thinking that the motor was set too tight, but it will not solve the problem now.

Is this repairable or do we need a new engine? If we need a new engine where do we get one from?

The motor attached to the extractor fan is obviously, you must be corgi registered to be near that if you call a corgi engineer it, they can sometimes without the fan in place, but most likely the fan must be replaced, cost around £ 200 for a new one. If you left the lid of the combustion chamber for a while, you've probably caused more damage to the fan, this is an excellent example of why not to mess with things you do not fully understand .

The best thing to do is to consult a Corgi registered professional engineer. You do not have to work on gas boilers unless you are able to do so. Problems with fire, (I guess that's what you mean when you say extractor?) Can be fatal. Call an engineer ASAP.

with all boilers are usually repairable, but most with combi boiler if you are not sure what is causing the problem there may be another part that is defective or just struggle to become defective causing problem after you have corrected a wrong "?? Is that logical? "

If you know the make and model of the boiler and the instructions since it is generally tere a pattern of short pieces in the installation instructions to search the web or visit the center pieces but be aware if it is considered an important safety feature they ask for ID corgi, you may be better for local heating engineer to check and give you a quote
