What is the equivalent of underfloor heating in commercial aircraft.? I know there are many ex-military retired commercial pilots there, or here. military aircraft floor heating. What is the civilian equivalent to this function?
The concepts of modern engineering in the design of aircraft, including commercial, welcome addition to any passenger comfort. This area of the design is so well adapted as the cab to the most comfortable for long trips relaxing. It's a bit like the climate control of the 'in cars compared to standard AC. The atmosphere is the inherent result of the delivery of heating / cool air through a system of ducts and passages which excludes heating / cooling surfaces or specific areas. In addition, with advanced techniques of insulation, the temperature is maintained and spread evenly throughout the cabin.
A system of ducts and outlets below the passenger area and the Bilge also help maintain soil at comfortable levels. Perhaps it is the equivalent of your floor heating system for military aircraft.
Modern airliners have no such power. Cabin heating is done by engine bleed air passes through heat exchangers is thus warming the air in the cabin. The closet thing for heating the soil that I am aware of the aircraft is on the 727 over the bunker liners that were heated with electrical components isolated for the comfort of live animals shipped.
