Daltile

DaltileCan you use glazed ceramic glazed tiles as Daltile already?

unglazed tiles are difficult to find and glazed tiles are already readily available in home improvement stores and are inexpensive. I am interested in using Duncan or Mayco glazes as atop a matte finish.

Sounds like you try to change the color or if you want to make your own design. In any case, you can glaze the tile, but you will need a kiln to fire. So Ive been in the tile buiseness over 30 years, and I know that any tile store can order you whats called biscuit. Its basically a tile of your choice, you can get the factory unglazed or without coloring, then do it yourself. Sometimes his award cheaper because they do not have the finishing costs for you.

The type of renovation is right about the tile biscuit. If you buy glazed tiles and try to glaze them you need to know exactly what the tiles are made and at what temp. they were fired upon first ice is almost impossible. Another solution might be to use mostly tile store and bought a few tiles (for emphasis) that you paint and varnish with your design to a place boat paint yourself. or ceramic "paint" from a craft store, but that will not hold up under a lot of cleaning.
