remove and clean, it is triggering the discharge pressure. your coils are dirty. spray with the garden hose and let dry before replacing

Your thermo-stat read that the tempature has matched the setting?

If so you can have the thermo-stat near the air outlet and cooling faster than the rest of the house. there to start off.

He has done this before? How long have you had and when did it start doing this? we need more info
