Fireplace Logs

Fireplace LogsChange of gas fireplace logs with ceramic stones?

I'm looking to buy a gas fireplace. I like the look of "ie contemporary rock ': no newspapers. However, it is quite expensive. Is it possible to buy a gas fireplace ordinary and" Switch Out "newspapers for something a more contemporary look (assuming that the product meets safety standards)? dealer told me that the game is specific to the wood fire and can not be changed. I'm curious to know if it ' is a "typical" response that prevents people from doing bizarre things like putting the stone instead of ordinary ceramic refractory. Thank you.

This is indeed the right answer to prevent people from doing things that could be dangerous. If you change a fireplace in a way that goes against a manufacturer, you not only void the warranty, but there is the possibility that it will affect the gas flow in the unit and cause an explosion . Unlikely, admittedly, but not impossible. Gas is something that should not be experienced.

The good news is that all types of companies are coming up with contemporary fireplaces. This year has been huge for the "stone" look vs. newspapers regularly.

I can give you some ideas if I know better what you are looking for. Direct vents are more expensive, but quite effective. Or if the heat does not matter, you can use a box of inexpensive wood and add a set of vented gas logs. On this type of burner logs and stones are generally interchangeable. Let me know if you need help!

u Change the burner, then newspapers .... If the firebox is 34 "or more u should have no problem ..
