Fireplace Tiles

I hope to put slate tile on my fireplace, is there a certain adhesive / cement to use to stop it collapsing when i light my fireplace?

I made some tileing when I visited this site and it gave me some good advice

Use a good store and ask for fire resistant tape, sealing the slate you grout.If ensure water feature seallant. Good luck
