Friedrich Ac

Friedrich AcWindow work unit in the wall in the sleeve?

I have an apt with a sleave wall that was designed for an AC unit Friedrich. I do not want to spend 500 + on a unity of the sleave. Would a single unit of work in this window sleave, if I do proper insulation around it?

If it makes you feel better, I manage an apartment complex with a similar set-up sleeve. Only one apartment has air-conditioned home, the rest are window units, and theres been no problems at all. Make sure you get dimensions (including depth) when you purchase your new appliance, you do not want him to come home and find it does not match. And if you do not own, do not throw on the old unit, except to call in when you move, so you can keep the new. You know, if you're not the owner, you can ask your landlord to replace it for you, all he can do is say no.

Window units overheating in a sleeve and die after a couple seasons. Report Abuse

Yes, just make sure that the CA has the right angle to allow condensation to flow from the place in your living space.
