It is a simple process, but it is important to do correctly. you need to get a complete box keys (keys simply regular) if you use an adjustable wrench (with a small wheel that allows you to drag around), you may experience problems. Close the gas! there should be three lines running from the bottom of the thermostat. Carefully loosen, but do not bend around. Take your time! if it comes with push button ignition, you should be able to take it over the bottom of the Assembly sparker then simply delete the line entry of more gas left. it is imperative that none of the son are damaged on any item. PPAR, I just forgot the great in the back. I do not know if you need to empty the tank to remove. get the water out over the tank and two buckets ready just in case. I never actually removed the thermostat, but I took the burner outlet entire Assembly. When you put the old or new mind that it's tight tight, but too tight is broke. take all the gas lines comfortably tight, but the line of thermocouple (the smallest in general and all the way to the right) is special. finger tighten until you can not tighten more, then use the wrench to give it another quarter turn. by the way, make sure to hand tighten all the other lines first so you get all the threads (disaster). when you're finished, you'll need a bottle of Windex. (I've found to work best) when you turn on the main line, spray the main connector with Windex. really understand there because if it starts to bubble on its own then there is a leak. if it turns off the gas leak, take it off and tighten it down. squeeze a little more difficult, but do not break it. if it does not leak it is acceptable to the light. Usually, you must turn the knob the lowest heat, and turn the knob to the setting up pilot. press the button down and begin to press the power button (or paste a long lighter there) when the flame appears (it may take a while, the line has been filled with air) Hold for 10 seconds . If the pilot goes you can have a bad thermocupple. try again a few times. if still no change, try to reconnect the line thermocupple. If it does not fix it means that your thermocupple is bad. the new one has detailed instructions on how you change it. if it does light, then just turn the knob on the top most position and raise the pressure. you'll soon know if the thermostat has been the problem.
Use a smaller open end wrench on the subject. Usually, about 1/4in. unscrew the control box, then slide out of the door inside the combustion chamber.
There is a special key that attaches to the opposite corners and is adjusted with a screw fit all sizes of valves. It has a 3 / 4 inch center square. you can use a socket wrench or a big key Cresent.
