Honeywell Digital Thermostat

Honeywell Digital ThermostatHow to connect a Honeywell thermostat digital thermostat an old system?

when I open my old thermostat, there are two son coming out, red and black. Honeywell in the system it gives me options for the red wire to be put in, but where does the black wire??

If your furnace is a furnace wall with one red and one black wire, you will need a thermostat that is compatible with millivolt. Gas furnace pilot light using a thermocouple which produces millivolts of electricity from the heat of the pilot flame.

If the thermostat is compatible with millivolts, connect the black wire where the wire W would then the red wire to R.

Good luck

Apparently that old stat only controls a heater or furnace of some sort, so then you should only use connections W1 and Rh on the new thermostat. I can only assume that the red wire to the stat is the age of the transformer wire and black wire is the one who must go to W1. While the work for you even if it's the opposite. Next, make sure the electricity or gas is set to gas. Im assuming that its gas.
