Honeywell Heat Pump

Honeywell Heat PumpHoneywell Thermostat with a Goodman Air Conditioner / Heat Pump How to Hook It Up????

I have a Honeywell Pro 4000 (TH4210D) thermostat terminals marked with ... E (emergency heat relay), Aux (auxiliary heat relay), Y (compressor contactor), G (fan relay), O (cool off valve), L (relay), * R (L1 hot ), B (changeover valve heat) and C (shared L2).

* The L (relay) terminal is powered continuously when thermostat is set to Em Heat.

It advises Honeywell to use either O or B terminals for switching valve and install the jumper on the ground between E and Aux if there is no emergency heat relay.

The Goodman 3 ton package unit with heat pump and heat 15kw strip son has colorful ... Red (24v), Green (FAN), Orange (Rev. valve.), White (2nd heat), Brown (3rd Heat), yellow (cool), blue (common).

Thus, the main question is how can I make these connections and what is the difference between the auxiliary heat relay and emergency heat relay?

Everything and everyone's help is greatly appreciated.

Brown, Unit E. .. White unit ... the red unit st ... green to yellow to g. ... y .. blue c. .... do not put anything on the L terminal ... o orange, but if the unit heats instead of cools and conversely put orange b. .. Aux Heat comes on while the heat pump is running it can not heat the house without assistance and emergency heat is turned off and runs right off the electric heating .. .. you do not need to put the jumper and e ...

Put the jumper in. You will need your warmth to it.Otherwise does not light when you raise temp above 2 degrees above room temperature. So when it gets very cold in the heat will be needed to help heat the house, and it must be able to cycle on its own. If you do not install the jumper, then you will not have any heat to. The only way then boost the heat tape is laying down the T-stat to emergency heat, and what happens if you're not home and fall time, you will need the jumper, but otherwise The answer above is OK. Relay emergency heat relay and heat are the same, its just a question of how many kilowatts turn when.
