Laundry Basin

Laundry BasinHow close to a drain laundry tub can be a trap?

I'm installing a laundry tub in my basement. Since the entry of sewer off the floor, I have little space between the sewer and drain to the pond bottom. Can I connect directly to the flight of the machine to save vertical space (I have to do parties, but is it correct to do so)? Should I use an extension? What is the minimum distance between the drain and the trap?

The trap is typically a few centimeters of a drain, a few feet at most. Make sure you have good ventilation of the other side of the door (usually run on the roof) to prevent the system from siphoning the trap dry, defeating the purpose.

The trap can be mounted to the right of the tub, it is not necessary that it be a certain number of inches below the fixture drain.
