I returned a shirt laundry London with a hole: it is the industry body I can complain to? I tried 5 times to obtain a refund of the laundry, but they keep dragging it on more excuses ....
then you should go see someone with more power, did you try to get the manager?
Your only recourse is the real small claims court. industry organizations in general have no teeth, as you pay for membership.
Is it a separate place or a chain? Go to the manager / owner. If they will not help you when you go to small claims court. If they do nothing, then go to small claims court

You can talk to the owner or manager, but remember, laundries and dry cleaners are not required by law to replace any damaged items. They probably have a very small sign, to that end, nestled in a corner somewhere. Even if you take the case to small claims court, you will most likely still be out of pocket.
Best go buy a new
Why can not sew a button in front of the hole. but beware ... My uncle had a shirt with a button missing and after a month he received a jamjar lid and punch holes in them after he sewed on the shirt in an effort to show his new wife what she should do.
She cut the buttonhole to the jamjar lid!
