Laundry Sink Faucet

Laundry Sink FaucetA simple method of removing and replacing a sink faucet toilet

From time to time, you might need or want to change your whole bathroom faucet sink. Because that is what is rare, it is easy to feel intimidated by the prospect of doing such work.

How do you do? Where do you start? Do not worry, it's not that complicated. In reality, it is fairly simple. Follow the steps below to change your faucet sink toilet.

First, you must gather all the tools and materials needed to complete the work. You'll need a wrench or a set of keys. You will use these devices apart and reassembling your faucet.

Get cleaning products so you can clean all dirt, grime and mold that accumulated under your old sink faucet. You will also need sealants and Teflon tape to seal things after installing your new faucet.

Finally, you'll of course need your new faucet unit. The best way to do it is to get a device that corresponds to the struggle against the existing holes. Otherwise, you will need to drill new holes or get a new high against that reflects the new device.

Before you begin, turn off the water. You can shut off your bathroom sink, but the surest way forward is to turn off the main line. Then, turn the tap to remove excess water in the pipes.

Now you under the sink and remove the nuts that connect the water lines on the faucet mounting. Then you must remove the nuts holding the valve assembly on the counter. They can be quite difficult to access, then consider getting a basin wrench, if you do not already have one.

Once you get the nuts, remove the device from the top tap. Clean the area with bleach and detergent powder. Dry the area completely so that the mold or mildew does not accumulate under the new faucet. We strongly recommend that you use a hair dryer.

Once the area is dry, drop the new unit in. Tighten the nuts. Back up and clean up excess sealant that has been pressed by the pressure.

Then go down under the sink and wrap the connections with duct tap plumber. You do not need much, just enough to go twice around the bottom edge. Make sure you wrap it clockwise.

Then, reconnect the water supply lines. Make sure everything is tight and secure, and turn back to water. Run the water to check for leaks. If there are none, you've managed to replace your bathroom sink faucet. All that remains is the baseline for your new faucet with putty and let dry for 30 minutes. Give yourself a pat on the back.
