Parkray

I have a coal fire Parkray 1982 and it is quite normal Smokey although it works reasonably well, but I just noticed a little smoke is leaking under my fireplace. I will certainly seek the advice of a sweep chminey ASAP (and I have swept last summer), but I can not find any diagrams or instructions for using Parkrays on the web and I was wondering if someone could explain exactly how these chimneys work so I can undertand a little better

Seems to me assuming your parkray is a unit with closed doors in an existing fireplace - that the seal around the device is suspected or perhaps a crack in the masonry / cloak room. It's just the memory of one several years ago that we had. Hope this helps.
