Patio Covers

Patio CoversAre insulated patio cover is worth the extra cost?

The seller told me that with a secluded patio cover, the temperature is below about 20 degrees cooler than the actual temperature. Is this true? The patio will not be closed. The concrete slab will simply be covered with the cover supported by four columns (poles). Any input from someone who knows will be appreciated. Thank you!

Not sure about the exact degree of cooling, but air under the hood will definitely cooler. Even when using an umbrella, the bridge is cooler.

We tried a light blanket tarp on our deck and he made an incredible difference in cooling. Also helped the kitchen, which is next to the bridge, to be cooler.

Unfortunately, ours was just a cheapo canopy and first big storm took everything down and destroyed.
So make sure yours is strong.
