Ritetemp 8050c

Ritetemp 8050cIs there a fault with thermostats RiteTemp?

I recently had a Rite Temp thermostat installed and for some reason, no matter how high I set the temperature, it is up to 62 degrees! I can not count the times I returned home in a freezer with my dogs started off the ventilation.

I tried resetting .. but nothing!

PS I'm freezing now!

Is it programmed correctly, if at all?

A programmable t-stat will generally accept a temporary increase, but will return to the programmed settings. If the temperature is programmed in less than 62, then ... Well, it would do exactly as planned.

Try to program it yourself or call the installer back to do it.

In the meantime, use the "HOLD" function to keep the temperature constant (one might call a "holiday"). If the T-stat does not stay set with this feature engaged, it is defective.
