Setting Up An Ironing Business

I won money at home doing our board (large shirts, skirts, everything!) For an ear or two and I think I am good enough to start doing for other people in my region ..

but I fear people will not hire me because they think I am too young and pretty good NT.

Any ideas on how to advertise this?

From the experience of my age has little or nothing to do with it. If you can not iron and do a good job, then most people will be happy to give it a try.

I would like to focus on social proof and a few other things.

Social proof is based on demonstrating that you can do a good job where other people supporting you.

You can do this by making some free ironing or offering to do a little ironing free in exchange for testimony. Try friends and close neighbors.

Once you have a few references to people, then you can try lower but a record low success and miss.

A better alternative is to create a joint venture with another company that has just a related service and already has many customers. EG someone who does the needle, make clothes or similar. Ask them to hand your flyer or brochure and offer to do the same in return or offer to pay them any commission.

Once you start getting customers, then you can set up a referral system where you ask people who are now your clients talk to their friends.

There are dozens of ways to market and I hope you find this useful.

Print flyers and put them in mailboxes.
Offer not to order the neighbors first, and get them to recommend you.
Add in the daily also.

Moms work at your school.
Fliers placed by businesses to working mothers can see them.
Offer a refund or redo everything that they not comply.
Having promoted first time customer, like half the price to see your work.

1. Make some videos show you how to do the right thing and ironing download youtube videos.

2. Make a brochure and put your coordinates services and the link to your YouTube channel on it.

3. Put the brochure on the mailbox every house on your neighborhood.

4. Go to the bank and cash your check.
