How do I replace a circuit breaker switch on an electric dryer? I have a Whirlpool dryer running and working properly, but it does not put any heat. We replaced the heating element and still have the same problem. Someone suggested we replace the thermal fuse and reduction switch. The cut switch came with two sides and we do not know where the other party will. I know that the party will be on the housing element. Any help would be appreciated!
Whirlpool is a kit of two thermostats because once we blow another breath. all hair has usually 2-3 thermostats and usually a thermal fuse. I've never replaced one myself, but I work in parts and service, so I do not recommend you make sure all the lint is cleaned your dryer and all the way outside the house. Otherwise, you will continue to blow thermostats, fuses, and your heater. wish I could be more help. (If you have a model # I can get a breakdown of where the other goes, it should be close to your heat if element)
The two go on the housing heater and are protected by two screws. There are other things that can cause the problem, if it does not fix, check out this site -
