Window Boxes

Window BoxesWindow boxes?

Hello,
Yesterday I bought some daffodils, crocus and tulip bulbs that I intend to put in window boxes of the weekend.
Should I just plants randomly in the boxes or if some will be deeper than the others and what I put the boxes in my garden shed until spring?
What a kind of plant food to put on them?
Not much of a gardener as you can see!
Thank you.

I suggest you plant your bulbs directly into the ground (not a window box), add a little bone meal, and water them.

Tulip bulbs are planted deeper than the others you mentioned. crocus bulbs are generally not planted any deeper. Daffadils are generally not planted as deep as the bulbs of tulips either.

An online article on bulbs: http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/bulbs/plant ...

Bulbs should be planted at a depth of two times their height - daff and tulips should be spread about 3 inches, but Croci can be planted two or three together to make a good display (but at least 1 inch of the other types bulb).

Before planting make sure you have pots drainage at the bottom, then a few high-quality compost (food), and gravel to help drainage and then fill with soil mixture of soil Regular /.

The bulbs in water - they do not usually need to go into a shed for the winter - they are very hardy.

Daffodil and crocus bulbs should be planted in a hole even deeper than themselves. Tulips should be planted deeper than whether they will grow very week and thin (you can not really plant them too deep, but normally I would say twice as deep as the bulb). Plant them directly in the window boxes and leave them outside (all weather), next spring, you should have some beautiful flowers.
I always sprinkly soil with fertilizers and general when the bulbs have finished flowering head off and let it decay naturally will help feed the bulbs ready for next year.

they will come up if you plant them about two times the height of the bulb. a1 "bulb 2"
to display a very dense, you can plant two
put a layer of bulbs with another layer spaced
